Blackhawks are awful....Pens 5-2 after scoring a goal in the 1st 5 minutes. Hawks have allowed the first goal against in 11 straight, have lost 18 of 20, and are just a disaster.

I really think the Pens uptick in quality play the last 10 to 15 games started the game after Cullen went down....whether its related or not I cannot say.

To me if there was ever a perfect match for the Jackets to move Panarin, it’s this.

That might be easier to swallow. I just don’t think the upgrade from Guentzel to Tarasenko is big enough to offset the cap hit. Not to mention Guentzel has 26 points in 29 games this season. I don’t think he’ll be in the 7 million range next contract.
Although I could be wrong. But he does get a lot of his points without 1PP time and I think that’s very valuable. Not that I don’t like the idea of Tarasenko, I just don’t know if it’s a good use of assets.
